products in order to significantly reduce the design period and their early launch into production.
These goals are achieved through the capabilities of:
building a three-dimensional model;
quick receipt of design and technological documentation necessary for the release of products (assembly drawings, specifications, details, etc.);
transferring product geometry to design packages;
transferring geometry to control software development packages for CNC equipment;
creating additional images of products (for example, for compiling catalogs, creating illustrations for technical documentation, etc.).

By default, KOMPAS-3D supports export / import of the most popular model formats, which ensures integration with various CAD / CAM / CAE packages. KOMPAS-3D v18.1 : new features of the fastest version
The fastest version of KOMPAS-3D in history has become even faster, more reliable and more functional! All this thanks to the release of SP1 to version v18.

In addition to a large number of improvements, the service pack included more than 40 innovations in 3D-modeling, 2D-design, interface, as well as in applications for mechanical engineering and construction. We talk about some of them.

At the request of users, we taught KOMPAS-3D to project “contours” of curved faces into a sketch. And that means that now you can snap the geometry in the Sketch to the sketch lines of the desired surface.

It is important that when changing the shape or position of this surface, the sketch will also be rebuilt. Also, auxiliary and coordinate planes perpendicular to the sketch planes can be projected into the sketch (projection lines will become auxiliary lines).

The ability to copy the geometry of objects (bodies, surfaces, etc.) appeared back in KOMPAS-3D V15. Recall that copies of the geometry remain connected to their original objects, i.e., they change when they are edited. Now, in KOMPAS-3D v18.1, the user can enable manual updating of the copy, and also indicate whether it should track the appearance of changes in its source file.

This will save the user from having to squeeze out sketches with marking elements (trademark, serial number, various technical data, etc.) and thereby complicate the model. The speed of constructing associative views / sections with such a model will increase significantly.

Changes have affected specifications. Firstly, now you can quickly create a specification for an assembly drawing, while the assembly drawing itself and the 3d model will automatically connect to it. Secondly, a new command “Delete user objects” has appeared, which deletes all manually created specification objects (except for the Documentation section). Thirdly, macronutrients or images from the view of another drawing can now be added to the specification with one click.

In the application Shafts and mechanical transmissions, a new type of mechanism has appeared - Hypoid gears. This is a type of bevel wheel with axial displacement. It is characterized by increased load capacity, smoothness and quiet operation. Thanks to these characteristics, he found application in transport: in drives of driving axles of cars, dynamo-cars of railway cars.

The main novelty of the application Equipment: Pipelines - flexible hoses. Such hoses are found wherever it is impossible to install a rigid, metal pipe. It can be high pressure hoses (RVD), for example, in the hydraulics of an excavator or truck crane. Or hoses for transporting different media, for example, gas welding hoses or refueling with oil products. Now, in just two seconds, you can draw the desired hose from point A to point B.

Another new application is Pipeline Styles. It will allow you to create sections of pipes with different properties in one pipeline (name, conditional pipe passage, pipe wall thickness, pipe outer diameter, conditional pressure, medium).

Another new application object is the Connection Point, which is necessary for the automatic selection of the pipeline style. It is recommended that you create a connection point on the equipment. This is convenient when it is used repeatedly.

One of the main innovations of the Construction configuration is a significant acceleration in the construction of 3D models from the drawing. The speed of "lifting" the model from the drawing using MinD technology has increased many times. A similar acceleration is observed when working with rich drawings, and with applications for pipeline systems. For example, a model from a tank farm drawing is now formed 5-6 times faster.

The “Change view plane” command has appeared in the Manager of the construction project, which allows you to get a temporary view or section of a vertical plane from the plan. In this view / section, the elements of the AC / AR, TX, OV, VK and KOMPAS objects located on the plan will be presented.

SP1 adds the ability to build insulated fittings for pipelines and ducts, as well as the ability to automatically make insulation in the specification.

3. From the Update directory we install the necessary updates.
4. The contents of the UpdateantiHASP folder are copied with replacement to the folder with the installed program (by default, ... ASCONKOMPAS-3D v18).
5. When you first start the program, go to "Settings" -> "Settings" -> tab "System" -> "General" -> "System Management" and check the box "Automatically obtain a license to work in Compass 3D".
