Microsoft Corporation has finally presented a beta version of the latest Office suite Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 Preview. 

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 combines everything you need to create, edit and share documents from virtually anywhere. In addition, it includes first-class tools for effective business management and project management. Office 2013 is a radically redesigned traditional suite of office applications. Similarly, in due time, the user interface in Microsoft Office 2007 was radically redesigned.

The new release of Microsoft Office 2013 has received an updated interface, has become more social. It was optimized to work with touches and gestures, a stylus, a mouse and a keyboard to support all new Windows-based devices, including tablets. OneNote and Lync are the first Office applications made in the style of Windows 8, they are sharpened to work on tablets, by touching your fingers. By the way, there is declared wide support for Windows 8, including Windows RT. Office Home and Student 2013 RT, which contains new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote applications, will be installed on ARM devices with Windows 8, including Microsoft Surface.

One of the main features of Office was tight integration with the cloud-based SkyDrive file storage, documents and all settings will be stored in it by default, providing easy access from any device connected to the network. The content will also be available offline and synchronized when the connection to the network is restored.

Of social opportunities, it is worth mentioning the integration with Skype. Skype contacts are integrated with Lync, allowing you to call or exchange instant messages. Another function - People Card - allows you to view contact information from Facebook and LinkedIn, including status updates, photos, contact information and so on.

An additional fly in the ointment: the new Microsoft Office works only with Windows 7 and Windows 8, the software giant decided to exclude the support of operating systems like Windows XP and Windows Vista. The release of the new Microsoft Office is expected in early 2013.

List of known changes in Office 15:

• A new interface that has become closer to the Metro concept, with flat menu buttons similar to Office 15 (or Office 2013 - such a market name is rumored to be in the new package);

• Ability to view comments in read mode;

• New features to increase / decrease font sizes, align lines to the width of the page, control the distance between paragraphs;

• New menu "page layout" on the panel in edit mode.

• Office 2013 will not support work with previous generation operating systems, except for Windows 7.

• According to the employees of the company-developer, a new version of office software will receive support for work on the iPad. A special release will give users of the "apple" tablet the ability to work in special editions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint (recall that OneNote for iPad already exists).

• On ARM tablets, Office 15 will be an integral part of Windows RT (special assembly Winodws 8 for computers running ARM-processors).

• It is expected that the office package will be integrated with popular social services, for example, Facebook, Flickr, Hotmail and SkyDrive.
